I've heard someone say before that they think 'inspirational posts' are a boring cop out. I think this is total bull*** as quite frankly they are what I enjoy the most! It is a huge part of my job to look for inspirational images, therefore if it was a meaningless, boring thing to be interested in or post about then I'd definitely say I was in the wrong industry! I love getting ideas from other peoples outfits, photographs and blogs. It's that combination of ideas that ultimately produces my own ideas.... all original in some way, but they definitely came from somewhere! Anyway, rant over, I'm feeling very inspired by embellishment at the moment (as you can see, that embellished bra in particular!). Also excited for the new pastel colour palette for SS12. Floral organza a la Christopher Kane SS12. Cosmic prints. Aztecs. Still loving my winter fashions though, still desperate for a multi coloured fur like the one in the last picture! I don't think inspiration posts are a cop-out at all, if you have original material on your blog too, which of course you do have! I love that last photo of the girl with the plait, really makes me wish I had long long hair!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate inspirational posts on blogs, but ever since I got a smart phone I started loving them. I comb blogs for inspirational shots and have created a image library on my phone. I love having it at my fingertips when I am first waking up in the morning on uninspiring days.

ReplyDeleteI own that bejweweled bra (or atleast one identical to it)! I love to wear it under an oversized tank, adds a bit of glam to just about any outfit. I was wuite happy when the sheer and bralette look became a part of street style because, to be quite honest, my bra is usually slightly exsposed anyway so why not wear ones worth look at. Ha.
